About our School
Welcome to Upton Snodsbury C of E First School
"Where a Love of Learning Grows"
'And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.' - Colossians 3:14
Upton Snodsbury C of E First School is set in beautiful rural Worcestershire countryside whilst being only 10 minutes away from Worcester Woods & Pershore. It was set up in 1865 with money from rental income of 3 cottages gifted by Mrs Alice Greene, mother of the then vicar, Rev. Armel Greene. She had realised the need for a village school since the Sunday School was attended by over 70 children.
We are proud of our strong relationship with the children, parents and local community and these relationships support us in our aim of supporting the school community in their learning. As a school, we set high expectations which result in children achieving to the best of their ability.
Upton Snodsbury is a Church of England School. In our last SIAMs inspection, we were judged as 'Outstanding' (2016). This celebrated our strong Christian ethos and our values. Ofsted also judged as 'Outstanding'. However as our school moto states we are a place of "Where a Love of Learning Grows' so we are continuously striving for higher standards and greater progress.
We trust that you will find the information you are looking for on the website, as well as discovering what makes Upton Snodsbury a school that we are incredibly proud of but please contact us if you require anything further.
